CAT is the examination which is conducted nationally. Common Admission Test is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs). CAT is being conducted every year on the rotation basis. Common Admission Test (CAT) is the computer based test which includes verbal ability, data interpretation, quantitative ability, logical reasoning. After the exam, the CAT score is followed by IIMs, NITs, IITs, Faculty of Management and IIS.
CAT Online Application Form 2016
CAT full form is Common Admission Test. CAT is all India Level examination which is organised by Indian Institute of Management (IIMs). According to the official notification, the online application for the exam will be started in the month of August. Applicants are advised to prepare well for the exam because CAT is the most difficult exam which is conducted by IIMs.
CAT Exam Eligibility Criteria 2016
Common Admission Test is the toughest PAN India entrance tests. CAT is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management. IIMs offer courses like post graduation and fellow programmes in management across all 19 IIMs. There are many prestigious B-schools like MDI Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad, (FMS) Faculty of Management Studies, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, IIT Delhi. Usually, Common Admission Test is conducted in the month of October/November. Online registration for CAT will be started in the month of August. Students you all need not worry because you have to prepare well and be one step ahead of the rest!!.
CAT 2016 Dates
Common Admission Test score is calculated on several parameters such as work experience, GDs, personal interview, academics, written assessment, and several others. For getting admission into IIMs students need to have all round good performance. Each and every institute has its own weight age assigned to CAT score. This time, CAT 2016 Registration will begin from 6th August 2016, and the exam will take place in the month of October/November 2016.
CAT 2016 Registration
In 2015 approximately 2, 04,267 students appeared for the CAT. Students appeared in the CAT exam to compete for 1550 plus seats. Common Admission Test is the most difficult exam for entrance into IIMs. We know that you guys know about the CAT this is why you have opted for it. IIMs were established under the Parliamentary Act.
CAT 2016 Registration Online
Students are being informed before registering for CAT that you should possess graduation in any of the streams. Students should score minimum 50% or CGPA, which is equivalent to it. 45 % marks in graduation for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates. Applicants who all are pursuing graduation can also apply for CAT, but their graduation should be completed in 2016 only.
CAT Exam 2016 Registration
In IIMs as per government rules and regulations 15% seats is reserved for SC, for ST category candidates 7.5%, for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates 27% seats is reserved, and for the differently abled candidates, 3% of the seats are reserved. The percentages mentioned above are subject to change as per the government rules and regulations. During the registration, only the candidates have to select the reservation after the filling up of the form it cannot be changed. A valid certificate of caste evidence for categories should be there.
CAT Registration Fees 2016
The application fee for general and non-creamy OBC applicants is Rs. 1600/-. SC/ST/Differently Abled Aspirants need to pay Rs. 800/-. Candidates are being informed that application fee needs to pay through online on the official website. CAT exam registration fee can be paid through net banking, credit card, and debit card. The application fee for CAT exam is non-refundable.
CAT Selection Process 2016
Candidates will be selected in the IIMs by CAT score 2016. Applicants will be selected according to the performance in written test, group discussion and personal interview. While selecting, the aspirants institutes will be considering the academic score, throughout the academic background. All-rounder candidates will be selected in the IIMs.
